Founding Partner and Lead Attorney Specializing in Criminal Defense
Waycross native, S. DeLeigh Poole has built her career on fighting for people in South Georgia when the stakes couldn't be higher. A 1999 graduate from Ware County High School, she went on to earn his B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Georgia in 2003, (GO DAWGS), before completing her Juris Doctorate at Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in 2006.
Before founding The Poole Law Group, DeLeigh spent nearly a decade as an Assistant District Attorney, where she honed her trial skills handling complex felony cases and learned the prosecution's playbook inside and out. That experience gave her the perspective most defense attorneys never get--and today, she uses it to anticipate the State's moves, spot weak points in their cases, and build proactive strategies for her clients' defense.
At The Poole Law Group, DeLeigh's role is focused on what matters most: courtroom advocacy, case strategy, and protecting clients' futures. She devotes her energy to preparing cases for negotiations, pleas, or trial. Clients know they can expect a lawyer who is prepared, relentless, and deeply invested in securing the best possible outcome.
Outside the courtroom, DeLeigh is rooted in the same community she serves-- Waycross and the surrounding South Georgia counties. She's proud to represent her neighbors, often against a system that can feel overwhelming, and to provide a defense so good, it's criminal.
